Paterson street renamed in honor of New Jersey native comedian Lou Costello

Costello is best known for his radio and television appearances, and his partnership with Bud Abbott and their iconic “Who’s on First” skit.

A portion of Madison Street from 21st Avenue to Market Street in Paterson was renamed Lou Costello Place to honor the Paterson native comedian.
The renaming ceremony took place on Wednesday, what would’ve been Costello’s 118th birthday.
Costello is best known for his radio and television appearances, and his partnership with Bud Abbott and their iconic “Who’s on First” skit.
