Communities that border the Passaic River are on high alert as the river overflows with water produced by the heavy rains of Ida.
Searches continue along the river for people who went missing during the storm.
Residents and business owners must now decide if they will stay in their homes or evacuate as the rise of flooding increases. Drivers are also being urged to avoid driving through any flooded roads.
News 12 New Jersey’s Chris Keating and Naomi Yane were out in those Passaic County communities to survey the situation.
