Passaic County held a ribbon-cutting on Thursday for its new disaster relief trailer for pets.
The trailer is fully stocked with equipment and supplies to provide emergency relief to pets during a national disaster. Items like generators and microchips could be ready at a moment’s notice.
“It has all these items to assist those preparing to take in dogs, protect them and be able to return them to their families,” says New Jersey Federation of Dog Club president Jeffrey Ball. “It’s just the idea of making everyone secure and safe.”
The trailer is funded by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia. Passaic is one of eight counties to receive one.
