Jersey Shore towns were packed for the holiday weekend - and that's good news for businesses.
The weather was beautiful and the beaches were packed, along with the boardwalks.
It came as a relief for shops and businesses that have had a difficult summer due to COVID-19, as business was slow to pick up after New Jersey emerged from its lockdown.
News 12 spoke to the owner of Wonder Bar who says while it's impossible to make up for the losses from earlier this summer, having a strong Labor Day showing surely helps.
While the large crowds may be good for business, it also comes with concerns of an uptick of coronavirus cases after the holiday.
Officials warn large groups of people not wearing masks or social distancing could lead to a spike of COVID-19 cases.
The season in Asbury Park and many other beaches in New Jersey will be extended through September. Restaurant owners who spoke with News 12 say that's another win that will help their bottom lines during this challenging summer.
