The owners of a puppy that was inside an SUV that was stolen in Florham Park on Monday have been reunited with their pet.

Bauer, a labradoodle puppy, was inside a BMW X5 when it was stolen from the parking lot of a CVS along Columbia Turnpike. Florham Park police say it happened around 6 p.m. while the owner was inside the pharmacy.

The SUV was tracked to Avenue C in Newark, but the dog was still missing.

According to a post by Bergen County NJ Lost and Found Pets, Bauer was found on the side of the road on Interstate 78 near Newark Liberty International Airport. The dog was not seriously injured.
