Truck overturns in Hillside, spilling oil and snarling Route 22 for hours
The truck overturned near the Bloy Street overpass Monday afternoon, spilling liquid onto the highway below.

A truck overturned in Hillside Monday, spilling oil onto Route 22 and shutting down the westbound portion of the road for most of the afternoon.
The crash happened on Bloy Street, next to the Taco Bell. The spill shut down a short stretch of Bloy Street as well as a longer section of Route 22 between Harding Terrace and Cornell Place.
Officials have not confirmed what type of oil spilled onto the roadway.
Crews worked at the scene throughout the day and used equipment to right the truck around 2 p.m.
There is no official word yet on how the crash happened or whether anyone was injured.
