Orange City Councilman Kerry Coley is facing charges after allegedly waving a gun at a tow truck driver in October, according to police.

Police say the driver was towing a car belonging to one of Coley's relatives when the incident occurred.

Coley surrendered to police on Monday and was held overnight at the Essex County Correctional Facility before being released.

As a condition of his release, Coley is prohibited from contacting the victim and is banned from owning weapons.

Prosecutors have not yet released the details of the charges against Coley.
