A film festival of short - very short - movies will be held Saturday evening in Atlantic Highlands.
Film One Fest is a free annual event in which films under two minutes in length each are screened outdoors near the marina.
"When it started 15 years ago, that was a very unique concept," says festival director Corinna Thuss, of the under two-minute guideline for films. "And then what ended up happening is that the art form of telling stories has caught up with our film festival."
Film One Fest is produced by the nonprofit Atlantic Highlands Arts Council with a mission to bring arts to the local community. Some 65 films will be played on a large screen near the marina just after sunset, though many of the spectators often bring chairs or blankets earlier in the day to claim their spot.
The films come from all over the world and include comedy, drama, documentary, animation and are considered to be family-friendly. More details can be found here: aharts.org.
