We are keeping an eye on nuisance flooding, primarily along the Passaic River. The Millstone River has crested and the water levels are beginning to recede. However, until the water levels get within their banks, nuisance flooding could still cause road closures.
TONIGHT: On-and-off showers are possible, otherwise overcast. Lows in the mid- to upper-30s. Don't be surprised if a little wintry mix shows up in the pre-dawn hours.
FRIDAY: After this week, we all deserve a vacation from the dreary weather. Mainly cloudy but should be dry. Highs in the low-50s. (Normal high is around 57 degrees.)
WEEKEND: Dry but remaining on the cool side of seasonable. Highs in the low- 50s for both days. More sunshine on Sunday.
MONDAY: Monday is the solar eclipse. The weather looks good. A few passing high cirrus clouds shouldn't interfere. Temperatures warm to the low-60s. By Tuesday we are flirting with 70 degrees.
