Olympics spotlight: New Jersey athletes competing at the Paris Olympic Games

News 12 is continuing to highlight athletes from New Jersey competing in the 2024 Olympics.

Athletes from all over the U.S. are in Paris and are about to compete for the gold at the Olympics, including 22 athletes from the Garden State.
News 12 is continuing to highlight athletes from New Jersey competing:

Molly Reckford

Molly Reckford, of Short Hills, is a rowing athlete. She went to Dartmoth College where she earned a spot on their open weight rowing team as a walk-on. Her grandfather, Bill Spencer, was a two-time Olympian.
This is Reckford’s second time at the games after she competed in 2020 and placed second.

Curtis Thompson

Curtis Thompson, of Florence, is an Olympic track and field athlete. He competed in the world championship stage in 2022 and 2023.
This is Thompson’s second time at the Olympics after competing in javelin during the 2020 games.
