Officials: Wildfire inside Brendan T. Byrne State Forest impacts at least 200 acres
Officials say that the fire was about 60% contained as of 6 p.m.

A wildfire inside Brendan T. Byrne State Forest in Burlington County has burned at least 200 acres of land, according to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service .
The fire is around Coopers Road, inside the state forest. Officials say that it is about 60% contained as of 6 p.m

“Due to predicted weather conditions, smoke from the Acorn Hill Wildfire is expected to hang low to the ground and reduce visibility during the overnight and early morning hours,” officials wrote on Twitter. “Drivers traveling in the area of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest are asked to stay vigilant.”

Officials say that the Glassworks Trail is closed, along with Coopers Road and several local state forest roads.
Several structures at the campground are being threatened by the fire.
This is the second wildfire in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest this month. A fire that started on June 9 burned hundreds of acres of land.
