October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Somerset County is honoring the period by wrapping some police cruisers in pink.
Six pink police cruisers were parked outside the Historic Somerset Courthouse for a ceremony Tuesday morning.
"It is an important initiative for the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office, the chiefs of police, for Somerset County to bring awareness to the community for women and men alike to get their annual screenings,” says First Assistant Prosecutor Annemarie Mueller.
The groups behind the initiative say they hope to spark community engagement and awareness throughout Somerset County.
