Parents and students voiced their opinions Wednesday night on school uniforms.
The Clifton Board of Education is considering the change based on suggestions that uniforms would lessen peer pressure and increase school pride. However, a majority of parents at Wednesday's meeting opposed uniforms.
"You can put anyone into a uniform. It's not going to make the person; it's not going to make them smarter," said Beatrice Rybak-Petrolle. "We need to focus at home. Make sure they get homework done and enforce the dress code policy."
The board recently sent out surveys to parents gauging their opinions on uniforms.
No final decision has been made.
