Officials say a Flemington councilman has been indicted for selling and possessing drugs.
They say Rep. Malik Johnston is accused of selling cocaine and meth to an undercover police officer in Raritan township.
Johnston also had intent to distribute drugs in Flemington borough, according to authorities. He has resisted calls from residents and other council members to resign.
Johnston faces between five to 10 years in prison.
