yesterdayA Brick Township officer was dragged by a car during a drug investigation on New Year’s Eve.
Authorities say detectives witnessed a drug transaction in a Wawa parking lot on Brick Boulevard.
When the officer approached the car, the driver sped away.
The side-view mirror caught onto the detective's clothing, dragging him for more than 10 feet.
That detective is OK.
The other detectives were able to catch up in the car, arresting two suspects.
Two other people were also arrested in connection to the incident.
