yesterdayOfficials say an Atlantic County man was arrested Friday for spending thousands of dollars accidently deposited into his account.
In March 2023, bank employees deposited $100,000 into 37-year-old Laquay Dubose's bank account by mistake, according to officials. The employees realized their error, withdrew the money and closed the account which left DuBose over $35,000 in debt.
Dubose is charged with theft.
