A hotel shuttle bus caught on fire near Newark Liberty International Airport on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

The spokesperson said the bus caught fire just around 3:15 p.m. on Newark Liberty’s exit roadway to Route 1 & 9.

Only the driver and one passenger were on board at the time. One person was treated for a minor injury and declined further medical treatment.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
