According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials, Akeem Rasheen Lewis arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport on Sept. 28.
CBP officers say they removed three bottles of Bailey's liquor from Lewis' duty free bag after they appeared to show signs of tampering.
Officers took Lewis to a private search room, where they discovered white powder wrapped inside the bottles.
CBP says officers found a total of nine pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $115,000.
