An off-duty sergeant helped rescue a driver following a fiery crash Saturday in Haledon, according to authorities.
Police say the driver lost control and struck two parked vehicles at Barbour and Oxford streets.
The sergeant heard the crash and responded to the scene with his father.
They safely removed the driver, who was trapped inside the burning vehicle.
The driver has been hospitalized for treatment.
