New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani will be meeting with President Donald Trump Friday, the president wrote on his social media site, Truth Social.
Trump says that he has agreed to Mamdani’s request for a meeting.
The president says it will take place Friday at the Oval Office.
A spokesperson for Mamdani issued the following statement:
“As is customary for an incoming mayoral administration, the Mayor-elect plans to meet with the President in Washington to discuss public safety, economic security and the affordability agenda that over one million New Yorkers voted for just two weeks ago.”
