New York Waterway is apologizing after some passengers experienced a rough commute.
Video sent to News 12 New Jersey from last Friday’s voyage shows that a NY Waterway ferry headed to New York City from Belford Marina was rocking and tossing passengers about, while also taking on some water.
There were high wind warnings in effect that day.
A spokesperson for NY Waterway says in a statement, “We regret the inconvenience to our passengers. At no time were the customers in any danger. The boat operated within safe parameters, under control of a captain with 15 years’ experience on this route."
There were 149 passengers on the ferry at the time.
