Nutley Township Mayor John Kelly is set to be deployed to Iraq next month.

Kelly will spend six months as the unit commander's legal advisor.

At 40, he is also the town's youngest mayor.

Kelly says he's honored to serve.

Town Commissioner Thomas Evans will step in to lead Board of Commission meetings in Nutley.

Evans wished Kelly success during his deployment and added that "they can't wait for him to return to Nutley safe and sound."
