A Cliffside Park man was charged in a shooting that happened last month in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn.
Officials say surveillance video footage shows Luis Rosario pulled a gun from his jacket and fired multiple shots at three men on Dec. 3, 2023, on a sidewalk outside of a supermarket and restaurant and across from a housing development in Brooklyn.
They say Rosario shot one man in the leg, causing him to collapse. As the wounded victim laid on the sidewalk, officials say Rosario got into a car and drove it directly toward the victim and ran over his foot.
Officials say Rosario has a prior felony conviction. In 2016, he was convicted of knowingly making or possessing dangerous contraband in prison.
He faces up to 15 years in prison.
