Prosecutor: 2 men charged in connection with fatal shooting in North Bergen

Two suspects are accused of shooting and killing Juan Ortiz, 31, on Monday.

Two arrests have been made in connection to a daylight shooting in North Bergen, Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Tuesday.
According to Suarez, 24-year-old James Baker, of Secaucus, and 21-year-old Arwa Elmohdli, of North Bergen, are both accused of shooting and killing 31-year-old Juan Ortiz, of North Bergen, on Monday.
The shooting happened near Meadowview Avenue and 61st Street at around 9 a.m.
Baker was charged with felony murder while Elmohdli is being charged as an accomplice. Both suspects are being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending their first court appearances.
