A brush fire in northern New Jersey wreaked havoc on rush hour travel for rail commuters Tuesday.
According to fire officials, the fire broke out shortly before 2 p.m. NJ Transit train service was suspended for one hour, but resumed after firefighters contained the blaze. However, riders on the restored service experienced delays due to congestion on the tracks.
Amtrak service into Manhattan also experienced delays relating to the fire.
