A viewing was held Friday for the local football legend Warren Wolf at Brick Township High School.

The former Brick High School football coach died of complications from surgery last Friday according to those close to his family. He was 92 years old.

So many of his players remember Wolf coaching them on the sports complex named after him.

Current and former Brick Townships football players held a reunion under the lights to honor his memory.

Wolf was a football coach for more than fifty years.

According to Brick United, he coached the high school football team until 2008. Among other roles, Wolf also served as the mayor of Brick Township and was elected to the New Jersey State Assembly.

Those who learned from him say he believed enthusiasm was a key component to success. Many call him a second father.

"No one lived like Coach Wolf,” said Dan Duddy, of Seaside. “He was alive and he's- you know he's in our veins, so he's really not going anywhere.”

Duddy says Wolf taught him to be giving and that he will be sure to pass that lesson on to his family as well.
