Boarding NJ Transit buses will get a lot easier for riders with "Tap, Scan, Ride."
Starting on Saturday, customers can save time by simply scanning their paper or mobile tickets at the onboard validator. NJ Transit says this will speed up the boarding process by the ticket not having to be validated by the bus operator.
According to NJ Transit, customers can "Tap" their contactless payment card or mobile device wallet or "Scan" their ticket and "Ride."
If a ticket does not have a printed barcode for scanning, a bus operator will still collect it.
