NJ Transit service is running on modified schedules today across several major rail lines in New Jersey.

Officials said Amtrak is clearing snow from track switches on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Raritan Valley lines.

Several other trains are operating on a weekend schedule. Light rail service resumed last night.

Bus service is running this morning, and riders were told to prepare for delays and possible detours.

As far as roads, a statewide travel ban is no longer in place as New Jersey continues returning to normal. State police urged drivers to keep emergency supplies in their vehicles, allow extra travel time and give plows or salt trucks room to work.

Crews still have work to do on side roads. Conditions yesterday afternoon between Woodbridge and Edison on King Georges Post Road remained difficult, despite heavy truck traffic heading toward the Raritan Center hub. Ruts and uneven snow made the road hazardous at 1 p.m.
