New Jersey Transit is launching a new effort to remind riders about COVID-19 safety precautions.
The campaign is called “SAFE NJ” and it promotes safe behavior and a healthy travel environment.
Highly visible signs will be posted that will reinforce the need to wear a face covering and follow social distancing guidelines. The agency will also remind customers to properly dispose of used PPE.
NJ Transit is also enhancing its cleaning efforts during the pandemic, including disinfecting vehicles every day. Frequent customer touchpoints such as ticket vending machines, handrails and door handles will also regularly be disinfected. Customers are being asked to minimize contact with these surfaces and use contactless payment.
