NJ Transit: North Jersey Coast Line operating on or close to schedule after barge hits bridge in Perth Amboy

The bridge had to be closed for around three and a half hours so crews could inspect the area.

There are delays on the North Jersey Coast Line route of the New Jersey Transit today after a barge hit the Raritan River Bridge early Friday.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. in Perth Amboy.
The bridge had to be closed for around three and a half hours so crews could inspect the area.
At around 6:10 a.m., the bridge reopened to train crossings.
NJ Transit says rail service is now operating on or close to schedule on North Jersey Coast Line corridor.
