A New Jersey Transit conductor is being called a hero after he saved a lost dog that was on the train tracks.
Conductor Howard Kempton slowed the Morris and Essex Line train Saturday afternoon after he spotted the dog on the tracks.
Kempton caught the animal and took off his tie to create a leash.
Officials say that the dog dig have a tag.
Summit Police reunited it with its owner.
The dog was not hurt.
