NJ Transit announces refund policy for unused one-way tickets

These refunds only apply to one-way tickets for bus, rail and light rail purchased before June 1.

NJ Transit commuters can receive a refund for certain unused tickets starting on Aug. 1.

The agency announced starting on July 1, tickets would expire after 30 days without use. The 30-day policy remains.

These refunds only apply to one-way tickets for bus, rail and light rail purchased before June 1.

Tickets purchased "on or after June 1 must be used by July 31. These tickets won't qualify for refunds.

Customers may request a refund by paper, web or mobile app tickets. For more information, click here.
