A long-time New Jersey restaurant has opened its doors, saying people should be able to choose if they want go out in public or not during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gilchrist Restaurant, which has locations in Margate, Gardner's Basin and Galloway Township, posted on Facebook, "OPEN... no.. REALLY OPEN! The original plan of our state was to build up PPE and prepare hospitals. We were all behind this effort and complied. As time went on we now realize that this has nothing to do with public health anymore."

The restaurant went on to say, “You can still get takeout and wear a mask if it makes you feel safe, but to those that want to we are offering full service dining."
Restaurants have been closed for in-house dining since mid-March.
