The first annual Ricky 267 5K Run was held at Washington Park Saturday to support the families of three officers who died in the past year.

Officers Ricky Fernandez, John Kamel and Lieutenant Mark Zeitounian died this year while off-duty.

The race was organized by Fernandez's wife and is appreciated by the rest of the police force.

“Everybody coming together, working together for one goal. To keep the memory alive of these three officers,” said Union City Police Chief Richard Molinari. "I think that's the greatest thing we could ask for."

All the money raised at the event will help the families of the fallen officers.
