New Jersey residents took advantage of the sunny, warm weather Sunday by staying outdoors and enjoying an early Memorial Day parade.
People waving American flags and wearing red, white and blue lined Bridge Avenue to watch those marching in the annual parade. Countless visitors flocked to the beaches to enjoy the sun, go on boat rides and have barbecues.
Residents say the weather was a perfect preview of the coming summer months.
"There are lots of barbecues and, of course, we're coming here for the swings and a nice concert ? so we're just enjoying the nice weather," Phillip Emanuele, of Point Pleasant Borough, says.
