Most New Jersey restaurant and bar owners are pleased with the results of the recent smoking ban.
According to a study by the New Jersey Group Against Smoking Pollution (GASP), recent air quality tests showed pollution dropped more than 90 percent since the ban went into effect six months ago. All of the businesses surveyed add that there hasn?t been a loss or drop in patron count now that NJ is smoke-free.
Meanwhile, some Trenton restaurant owners, who weren?t included in the GASP study, say they have been losing business. The owners say some of their customers cross into Pennsylvania where there isn?t a smoking ban.
