New Jersey residents fared well when a dentist from Los Angeles, known as the ?Bad Breath Doctor,? stopped to find the state with the best breath.
Doctor Harold Katz is traveling around the country with his Halimeter machine to test people?s breath. The machine measures sulfur, which Katz says causes bad breath. Katz says a score of more than 100 means a person may have bad breath.
Katz recommends drinking water and avoiding foods with sulfur to prevent bad breath. He says a dry mouth is the perfect breeding ground for bacteria. He adds alcohol and sugar contribute to dry mouths.
