Newburgh man pleads guilty in child rape case

A Newburgh man who pled guilty to raping a child is facing decades in prison, according to the Orange County District Attorney.

Prosecutors say 34-year-old Kelvin Dubon-Rivas admitted to engaging in sexual activity with a child under the age of 11.

Prosecutors recommend sentencing him to 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in May.
