Community activists plan to protest a jury's acquittal of a Newark police detective on charges he used excessive force against a teenager during a scuffle that was caught on surveillance video.
Detective Angel Pared was acquitted last week of aggravated assault. But a jury was unable to reach a verdict on three lesser counts.
Protesters are planning to rally at City Hall tomorrow.
