Newark police have arrested two people in connection to the shooting of a 9-year-old girl.

Nazir Cruz, 22, and a 15-year-old girl are accused of shooting the 9-year-old in the hand and foot at a Holiday Court apartment Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the victim is in stable condition. They say the incident happened after a fight broke out between the 9-year-old's older sister and the 15-year-old.

Police say both suspects shot at the child's two older siblings and another teenager.
