A Newark man was killed in a shooting in the West Ward early Friday morning.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says Khalif McDaniel, 33, was shot multiple times. He was found on the 500 block of South Orange Avenue near South 20th Street in Newark. He was pronounced dead a short time later at University Hospital.

No arrests have been made.
