The intersection between Muhammad Ali Avenue and Somerset Street in Newark is earning a rough reputation for accidents.
Parents feel their kids are walking on the edge of safety when going to school.
Even earlier today, News 12 New Jersey was reporting on the dangers of this intersection when an accident occurred.
The intersection has just one stop sign, some pedestrian signs, and a hill that builds high speeds.
Some fixes could include a traffic signal, more stop signs, or changing the road.
Earlier Wednesday, Newark EMS teams and the NJ Trauma Center at University Hospital came to Louis A. Spencer Elementary school to teach children the importance of pedestrian safety as part of "International Walk to School Day."
