A Newark organization headed to class Christmas Day to help those in need.Members of the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity were at the South 17th Street School to make sure those less fortunate could still celebrate the holiday. Guests at the school were given a full Christmas dinner and special gifts to mark the holiday.Charles Johnson said he was helping with the event because the holiday isn't about spending time at home. He told News 12 New Jersey that it's important to give back to the community.It was the fifth year that the fraternity has run the event. Organizers said they expected about 200 people before the day was over.
