The new tap-and-go payment system is now available at all five PATH terminal stations.
The “Total Access PATH Payment,” or “TAPP” for short, allows passengers to pay fares using contactless debit or credit cards, smartphones or wearable devices.
PATH has recorded more than 1 million uses of TAPP since the system’s launch in December.
While TAPP is being phased in, SmartLink and MetroCard will remain operational as customers become familiar with the new system.
TAPP is expected to have a full rollout at all turnstiles by the end of the year.
