A farm in New Milford stepped up to host the annual Nightmare on River Road Haunted House with efforts to make it safe during the pandemic.
The event, benefiting Bergen County Boy Scout troops, is usually held indoors – but that wasn’t possible this year. New Bridge Farm and Garden, however, made it possible.
Ed Hill, the co-creator of the Nightmare on River Road, told News 12 that there are temperature checks and contact tracing in place at the farm.
“We aren't cutting any corners or putting anyone in harm’s way because we want the kids to have fun,” says Hill.
The farm offers haunted hayrides, corn mazes and a greenhouse to walk through.
Tickets are available online. The haunted event is open this weekend and next weekend.
