New Jersey ranks 11th most Star Wars-obsessed state, study says

A Hard Rock Bet study found New Jersey logged more than 42,000 Star Wars-related searches ahead of May the 4th.

New Jersey is one of the most Star Wars-obsessed states in the country, according to a new study released ahead of May the 4th.

The study from Hard Rock Bet ranked New Jersey No. 11 in the U.S., with more than 42,000 Star Wars-related searches in the last 24 hours.

According to the study, 43.2% of New Jersey fans prefer the prequel trilogy, followed by 29.9% who prefer the original trilogy. Another 18.1% prefer the franchise’s spin-offs, while 8.8% prefer the sequel trilogy.

California ranked No. 1 nationally, with more than 255,000 searches, followed by Texas with more than 154,000 and Florida with 106,000.

The study found that “Revenge of the Sith” was the most searched Star Wars movie in the U.S. in 2026, with more than 146,000 searches in the past 24 hours. “Rogue One” ranked second, followed by “A New Hope.”
