New Jersey is one of the most educated states in the country, according to a new study.

Scholaroo.com, a website that helps find college scholarships, created an in-depth analysis to identify the most educated states in the country. The website ranked the Garden State in 12th place, falling from the No. 4 spot in 2023.

Scholaroo’s analysis focused on two key elements: the number of individuals who successfully completed their studies and the quality of educational institutions.

Massachusetts took the No. 1 spot as the most educated state with the highest college graduation rate. Minnesota and Connecticut carved out the top 3.

New Mexico ranked dead last with the lowest literacy rates, followed by California and Texas.
