The Rutgers Jewish community came together outside the dining hall Thursday night for a massive Shabbat table. The table was empty to mark the 240 hostages being held by Hamas. At each seat was a place setting and a photo of the people who were kidnapped on Oct. 7.
The display came on the same week that Hamas leadership promised to repeat their attacks.
A New Jersey night of prayer is happening at about 30 mosques throughout the state. The Islamic Center of Ocean County in Toms River is just one of the centers holding prayer events. After the event, the mosque will host a lecture about the current state of Gaza and the humanitarian crisis.
