There is less than a week to go until Mother’s Day, but there is still time to get mom a gift.

One of the most popular gifts for mothers is flowers. Florists throughout the state are preparing for the big day, including Gardenia's Floral on Main Street in Metuchen.

"It's springtime so we're getting a lot of requests for tulips, hyacinths - just a lot of nice spring garden flowers, stuff that you would see outside,” says owner Samantha Monday.

Monday says she is getting a lot of pre-orders for Mother’s Day flowers and expects a lot of foot traffic in the store over this week.
