New Jersey City University cutting staff, academic programs due to lack of funds

The school is terminating 48 undergraduate majors, 24 minors and 28 graduate programs.

New Jersey City University is planning to lay off 30 tenured professors and remove more than a third of its academic programs due to a lack of funds.
The school is terminating 48 undergraduate majors, 24 minors and 28 graduate programs. Nineteen non-tenured faculty members will also be impacted.
The programs are scheduled to close at the end of this academic year.
